New Covert Smart In Line Fan Features
Smart Programming
The controller can be programmed to adjust fan speeds to respond to varying high and low temperatures, and humidity. For ventilation applications, the controller can be set to run continuously, or triggered to run at customizable speeds when given power, due to its backup memory capability. Additional features includes a countdown timer, alarm system, and eco-mode. Includes detachable 12-foot precision probe that is water resistant. This EC smart controller can power and control 2 inline duct fans of any size, including the full Covert Smart Inline Fan line up.
Quiet, Energy Efficient Operation
As mentioned, this inline fan features an EC-motor, rather than the noisy inefficient AC motors and DC Brush motors. This technology enables motors to be able to run smoothly at extremely low RPM speeds without generating additional heat or noise. In addition, the duct fan uses a mixed flow design using a stator blade and dual hydrodynamic wind circles. This gives it a high static pressure rating, enabling it to deliver airflow even in applications where air movement is being restricted, increasing efficiency. Save money, quietly!
Superior Design
Equipped with it's own smart controller and probes, the Covert Smart Inline Fan is made for those looking to automate their grow. These fans utilize EC motors, which are much quieter than your standard DC and AC motors, as well as much more efficient. The ducts and frame are made from a high grade plastic material which is held together with heavy-duty metal hoops, keeping the fan light without fragility. Each inline fan has a sturdy, metal bracket attached for easy hanging as well!
Special Ventilation Setups
Air-Cooled Lighting
Air-cooled HID light fixtures have duct flanges you can easily connect a fan and ducting to. You can see an example setup in the diagram below. With this setup, the inline fan pulls air through the carbon filter, then through the light fixture and finally out of the tent.
The next step to improve your for air-cooled lighting set-up is to use a separate in-line fan just for the lighting ventilation. This will make both your light cooling and your carbon filter work more efficiently.

Closed Loop CO2 Ventilation
When using CO2 producing equipment inside of a tent, you want to ensure the CO2 produced doesn't escape. In this situation, you'd want to use a “closed loop” system which will filter the air of odors and VOC's by recirculating the air in the tent through the carbon filter via inline fan. To avoid excess heat build up inside your grow, it is highly recommended to utilize LED or air-cooled lighting. Air conditioning is recommended for larger tents using CO2.
