The selective effectiveness of Beauveria bassiana makes BioCeres EC, like BioCeres WP, great for a wide-variety of environments and crops. Labeled environments include: Indoor/Outdoor food crops, orchard crops, greenhouses, nurseries, commercial landscapes and range land, interiors capes and turf.
Use rates and instructions are available for foliar application, ground and aerial application, chemigation (and drip chemigation), soil application and greenhouse application. See Label on DOCS tab.
The entomopathogenic fungus, Beauveria bassiana works by infecting with spores. The spores adhere to the target insect's outer shell (cuticle) and begin the infection process. At this point, you may notice insects with a whitish appearance. Once the spores have penetrated the protective barrier of the cuticle, they reproduce inside the host insect. Death occurs 5 to 7 days after infection.
BioCeres EC is most effective when used at first sign of pest infestation when newly hatched insects are most vulnerable to infection by the spores of Beauveria bassiana.
